Age: 29 again
Discipline: XC, Road, Triathlon
Despite being a late comer to the sport of triathlons; Emanuela has raced 8 Ironman’s, 16 half Ironman’s, countless Olympic Distance triathlons and marathons. She’s raced as an age grouper at a World Championship level in all governing bodies – Ironman Kona, Maui Xterra, ITU Long Course & Off Road Triathlon.
In 2014 she took at break from triathlons and decided to focus solely on road cycling and learning how to mountain bike.
In the last 4 years she’s ridden at Cat2 level, racing stage races in USA, 100+ mile Gravel Grinders, a 7-Day Stage Race (TransAlps) in Europe placing 5th. In her first year mountain biking she signed up for 6HR, 12HR Enduro Mountain Bike races and even placed top 10 in women’s open category in BC’s 6-Day Mountain Bike Stage Race.
Most recently she became the AG 2017 ITU Off Road Triathlon World Champion, and is 2016 Xterra Canadian National, Provincial Champion.
Emanuela is passionate about seeing women, young girls in the sport of cycling and mountain biking, which are her most favorite disciplines! When she’s not on her bike, you’ll likely see her scrambling up on a mountain, ski touring in the backcountry or torturing herself on the misery sticks – but smiling and giggling the entire time!
Endurance sport has empowered her to go after big goals and she hasn’t looked back since it all began 10 years ago.
She challenges everyone; young and ripe to feel the joy and freedom of riding a bicycle, exploring their backyard, appreciate the simplicity of being outdoors and playing like a big kid.
